The Solstice and her flotilla of Starfleet escorts arrive at their home system. Upon being hailed by Admiral T'konra, Jen suddenly screams an order to vent cargo bay five on the starbase. The Admiral immediately does, beaming all staff inside back to safety aboard the station. Moments later a powerful explosion detonates among the vented cargo.

===== Stardate 49392.36, Tuesday May 23rd 2372, 1430 hours =====

The Starfleet flotilla – the //USS Boston//, the //USS Sacramento//, the //USS Montgomery Scott//, and the crippled //USS Solstice// – drops out of warp at 1430 hours and reaches New P'Jem at 1510 hours. CO Commander [[trek:characters:mel|Melva Deline]] and the rest of the senior officers – XO Lieutenant Commander [[trek:characters:saval|Saval]], senior counselor Lieutenant [[trek:characters:armina|Armina Jasra]], junior counselor Ensign [[trek:characters:jessa|Jessa Tyr]], chief of operations Lieutenant [[trek:characters:ktral|K'tral]], chief science officer Lieutenant Commander [[trek:characters:fal|Fal Marik]], chief flight control officer Ensign [[trek:characters:phillip|Phillip Dade]] and chief of security Lieutenant [[trek:characters:shantaar|Shan'taar th'Vorish]] – are on the bridge while CMO Lieutenant [[trek:characters:swims|She-Who-Swims-Amidst-the-Stars]] and chief engineer Lieutenant [[trek:characters:ssleestak|Ssleestak]] remain in sickbay and main engineering respectively.

Time-lost and Prophet-touched Ensign [[trek:characters:jen|Jen Kras]] is pacing around, once again processing sixteen different timelines at once as they approach Starbase 212. Admiral [[trek:characters:tkonra|T'konra]] hails them for their report, but Jen suddenly bolts forward and screams, "Blow out cargo bay five! Now!" Captain [[trek:characters:shrasaan|Shras'aan zh'Shonnas]] starts to question her, but Admiral T'konra does not hesitate and immediately jabs the control pad. The force field around cargo bay five shorts out, and all the cargo and people are blown out violently into space! Luckily, the Starfleet personnel are immediately beamed back to the station, but the cargo goes shooting forward in a haphazard fashion. 

A second later, however, there is suddenly a second sun in the system as a bomb detonates in the cargo and a massive shockwave rips forward! The //Boston//, the //Sacramento//, and the //Montgomery Scott// move to shield the //Solstice// as best they can, but the //Solstice// is still snapped free of the tractor beam. Phillip immediately takes flight control and expertly surfs the shockwave to ameliorate the worst of the damage! However, several warning icons start flashing, and Ssleestak howls, "Oh come on! I just fixed that!" On the bridge, K'tral reports, "Hull integrity collapsing." However, the shockwave dissipates, and the //Solstice// comes to a halt several kilometers away from her original position – thankfully, not in New P'Jem's atmosphere.
