This section capped off the session on 5/23/20; I just moved it here for story clarity.
Josh Troy lands hard on the dry, cracked earth of the Underworld, and then a foot slams down on his back as a distorted male voice snarls, "There you are! The queen's own progeny!" Someone grabs him and hauls him up, bringing him face to face with a ghost encased in barbed black iron. Only the ghost's eyes are visible, and they are bloody orbs. The ghost grips Josh's throat with a barbed gauntlet and hisses, "Scream. I want you to scream. I want her to hear you scream!" He tightens his grip and Josh shrieks, "Ow! Ow! Ow!" He flails about and sees Konstantin leering at him, and Caleb lying face down in the dirt.
Lucifuge hunter Leta MacKenzie also slams down hard on the dirt and hisses in pain as her demon-rat Veltis scrambles on to her shoulder. She looks up to see a large piece of rubble concealing her position, so she carefully gets to her feet and creeps over to the corner. She risks a quick glance and curses when she realizes her situation: she's stuck in no-man's-land between the Broken Ridge Collective River City and an army of the dead! Hundreds of masked ghosts line up in rough formation, ready to attack the settlement.
William Troy, Sin-Eaters Abigail Henderson and Anita Perez-Montoya, and the criminals Silas Black, Sadie Hawk, and the unknown man all stumble through Silas's gate and find themselves on the roof of the ghostly reflection of the Northampton asylum overlooking Broken Ridge. William shudders in fear as he realizes Abby's geist Petite is right behind him and quite solid. Anita staggers forward and then yelps as the floor gives way! She pinwheels forward into empty space until Black lashes out and grabs her by her shirt, arresting her fall. Anita howls, "No! No! No!" Black retorts, "What? Do you want me to pull you back up or not?" Anita flails but yells back, "How much is this going to cost me?" Black shrugs and replies, "Nothing. This is in my best interests, Miss Perez-Montoya. Also, if I allow you to die, then Del inherits the botanica." Anita curses again but grumpily concedes, "Alright." Black pulls her up and releases her once her feet are on solid ground, Anita flounces away in rage.
