William shudders in fear as he realizes Abby’s geist Petite is right behind him and quite solid. Anita staggers forward and then yelps as the floor gives way! She pinwheels forward into empty space until Black lashes out and grabs her by her shirt, arresting her fall. Anita howls, “No! No! No!” Black retorts, “What? Do you want me to pull you back up or not?” Anita flails but yells back, “How much is this going to cost me?” Black shrugs and replies, “Nothing. This is in my best interests, Miss Perez-Montoya. Also, if I allow you to die, then Del inherits the botanica.” Anita curses again but grumpily concedes, “Alright.” Black pulls her up and releases her once her feet are on solid ground, Anita flounces away in rage.
